Harvest Machinery to close in Ireland |
Claas plans to change how it distributes its machinery in Ireland, with the firm's current importer, Harvester Machinery Ireland Ltd, ceasing to trade as from October 1, 2009. From that date, the territory of Ireland will be managed as a division of Claas UK, which has its headquarters in Saxham, Suffolk. The new Ireland division will be based at Duleek, County Meath, where Claas will hold a stock of spare parts. In addition, Claas UK will offer direct overnight distribution of parts from its warehouse at Saxham, says the firm's chairman Clive Last.
