Diamond is top lot at Norfolk auction

A McCormick CX105 Diamond Edition was the star lot at Brown and Co's latest dispersal auction for Abbey Farm near Fakenham, Norfolk. The winning bid for the 2006 tractor with only 1,085 hours on the clock was £19,000. The sale was attended by over 400 potential buyers and auctioneer on the day, Simon Wearmouth points out that demand for well maintained used machinery is currently on a high. Other key lots were another low hour tractor a 1994 Ford 8340 showing just 5,700 hours made £8,000 while a 2005 Krone Vario Pack 1500 round baler which had only done around 9,500 bales made £8,100. The 1994 Sanderson 624 telehandler fell under the hammer at £6,300 and a 1990s Bunning Lowlander 90 rear discharge muck spreader sold for £5,000. The Hardi Mega LPY 20m mounted sprayer reached £3,000 and a 1974 Ford 3000 went for £2,300.
