ARGO in-house CVT for late 2014

ARGO in-house CVT for late 2014

Alongside the launch of the new four- and six-cylinder models, ARGO announced it is to launch its own CVT for the higher-spec and more powerful tractors it is working on to replace the current McCormick X60 / Landini Powermondial and McCormick MC models next year, with a preview model being shown at Agritechnica 2013.

A ZF CVT will be introduced for the McCormick X7 / Landini 6/7 Series tractors described here and also in a new McCormick X8 / Landini 8 Series newcomer that will expand the range with power outputs of up to 300hp. These tractors are likely to be previewed late 2014.

In the meantime, Argo also promises a new line of livestock tractors from 60 to 100hp for an Agritechnica 2013 preview. Somewhat unusually, the company announced that the newly minted Landini 5-H and McCormick X50 with their Stage IIIB engines will get a new cab by the end of next year, becoming the 5 and X5 respectively.
