Higher outputs and reduced crop damage are claimed for the two-row T2 potato harvester from Ely-based Standen Engineering.
Due to be launched at British Potato 2009 in Harrogate, T2 has had particular design attention focused on its separation capability. There's an additional digger web, a longer sieving web, VariSep adjustable step separation between the webs and an all-new Omega fluted roller separation system at the rear. The latter comprises three deformable fluted roller shafts working in conjunction with three rubber clod rollers, with angle adjustment, speed control and reverse-drive facilities also included in the package.
All machine drives are hydraulic and speed variable while, down below, powered axles also form part of the standard spec. T2 measures 2.9m wide, and its wheel track is adjustable from the cab.
List price of the harvester is from £120,000.
