Sprayer maker Berthoud reckons its new Ulys vertical-folding boom provides improved stability due to its central pivot system, anti-yaw and auto angle correction. Available in 18m, 20m, 21m and 24m widths, the boom's individual sections are hydraulically controlled to offer a range of folding options. It is listed in three versions: Standard with hydraulic folding, SEH with independent boom folding and ED-GV with variable geometry folding. Intended hosts for the Ulys boom are Berthoud's Elyte range of mounted sprayers – 1,000-, 1,200- and 1,600-litre tank capacity models.
