National apprenticeship week is here

National apprenticeship week is running from 1st-5th February and Warwickshire College is showing its support with a number of events over the next few days. One of the key initiatives is job swap day where existing apprentices take the reins of the company of the company they work for while the boss spends a morning at college. Employers will get a chance to brush up on some skills while apprentices will inspire them to progress further in the company.
The National Apprenticeship Service has also recently announced that they will offer an additional grant of £2,500 to every employer that takes on an apprentice aged 16 or 17. This offer is only available for ten weeks and is on top of the funding that employers already receive for apprentices. Warwickshire College has a number of apprentices looking for work, so employers are asked to get in touch.
