Low hp drill to debut at Cereals 2009

Amazone plans to unveil its 6m wide Cayena 6000 drill at this year's Cereals Event, due to be staged on June 10/11 at Vine Farm, Wendy, Cambridgeshire. Main attraction of the Cayena is reckoned to be its ability to plant into a range of soil conditions – ploughed ground, min-till and no-till – as well as its low hp requirement; the 6m wide unit takes just 135hp, according to the manufacturer. Working from front to back, the key Cayena components extend to its three rows of staggered TineTec coulters (16.6cm spacing), Exact covering harrow and rear wedge packer roller. Price is expected to be in the region of £60,000.
