Lightweight plough at LAMMA Jan 6, 2010 #762
Lightweight plough at LAMMA
Kverneland will be showing its new lightweight plough at LAMMA after a prototype received thumbs up from farmers and contractors at SIMA last year. Available in three-, four- and five furrow formats the 150B is suited to light and medium soils with Kverneland recommending tractors up to 130hp.

The plough is said to be lighter than other models offered helping reduce fuel consumption. The 150B gets an all new 130 headstock with a hollow main shaft to reduce the weight while offering protection to the hydraulic hoses.

The shear bolt protected legs use technology from the firm’s tined cultivators using heat treated hollow tubes. The main beam measures 100x150mm for three to four furrows, and 150x150mm for five furrows.

Furrow width can be adjusted manually in steps (35,40,45 and 50cm / 14,16,18 and 20in). This adjustment is carried out by repositioning a bolt in each leg assembly and there is no slide rail so weight is reduced.

Front furrow adjustment is via the parallelogram system for correct alignment of the plough. Optional equipments includes hydraulic front furrow adjustment and hydraulic alignment of the frame.
