Landini goes Techno

Landini goes Techno

Landini is introducing a less frills version of its four-cylinder Power Mondial. Despite the new variant being dubbed Techno it does without the powershuttle and powershift transmission features found in the Top spec version of the 92hp, 102hp and 110hp tractors. "We're adding this simpler-speced version to meet demand from operators who don't need the powershuttle and powershift transmission," says Landini product specialist Eamon Howden. "It will also appeal to operators with a keen budget because the lesser spec obviously comes at a lower price." The transmission has a total of 15 gears in both directions with the option of increasing the number of ratios to 20 when the creeper option is installed. The Techno spec also gets a synchro shuttle compared to the electro-hydraulic version in the Top models which have a total of 36 forward, 12 reverse gears thanks to a three-speed powershift. The electronically controlled linkage also makes way for a mechanically governed rear hitch with lower link sensing. Twin assisters allow the linkage to handle 5,650kg and a push back pick-up hitch is part of the standard build. Owners can plump for a ground-driven pto once the creeper transmission is opted for while 540 and 1,000rpm speeds are standard. In the four-post cab drivers are kept in air-conditioned comfort but with manual temperature controls rather than automatic climate control and there is also a roof window as standard. "The cab is roomier than the design used on the Vision, which the Power Mondial effectively replaces, and the interior has a new layout with more storage space," explains Mr Howden. "The Power Mondial also has a heavier-duty rear axle." All these changes mean the PowerMondial Techno list prices are around £5700 less than for the Top model: 100 (92hp) £37,179; 110 (102hp) £37,855; and 115 (110hp) £39,120.
