Clearing bales from a field needs to be a slick operation if subsequent operations are not to be impeded. Ritchie takes the job on with its new 10/20 Traileyre bale carrier which has been designed to handle 10 x 1,000kg bales or 20 x 350kg bales. Using Traileyre’s now established loading system, arms fitted with spikes are lowered hydraulically to spear the bales as the trailer is driven forwards. Once safely speared, the bales are lifted on board where they are held securely. Ritchie points out that the new bale carrier has a stronger lightweight frame equipped with tandem axles and all round suspension.
