LAMMA: Giving loads a shove |
Larrington’s new Ejector Trailer made its first appearance on the company’s stand. Claiming to be the first UK trailer manufacturer to build such a system, loads, are pushed out the back of the trailer using a hydraulically powered ejector plate – a plate which can also be used to compress loads to achieve maximum weight. Larrington points out that this is a safer system than tipping and also allows trailers to unload where there may be height issues. An on board hydraulic system employs a pump driven from the tractor’s hydraulic supply to extend two rams which push the ejector plate. Compared with similarly sized tipping trailer, the Ejector costs another £10,000.
