Knight debuts new ‘mountie' |
There's no sign of any deviation from the ‘size counts' theory when it comes to crop sprayers. In addition to recent capacity increases for its trailed sprayer line-up, Lincs-based Knight Farm Machinery will be debuting a 1,500-litre/24m mounted unit at this year's Cereals Event. Joining existing 1,000-litre and 1,200-litre models, the new machine has a specially designed chassis and slim-line tank, both aimed at keeping weight well forward and allowing the sprayer to be used on smaller tractors. Standard spec includes triple nozzles, a Müller Spraylight control system and the firm's MAXImiser technology for reducing the amount of pipework. On top of this, there's the option to add extra-cost features such as GPS-controlled auto section on/off, auto boom height/level adjustment and an air-sleeve boom.
