Hydropneumatic suspension ensures a safe ride

Dutch suspension and steering specialist Tridec has recently developed two new hydropneumatic suspension systems for heavy-duty tandem- and tri-axle trailers. The MD-0 model is designed to cope with axle loads of up to 9t, while the HD-0 chassis can handle axle weights of up to 14t.
The designs feature a configuration of two beams arranged in a triangle and a cross beam in combination with a full hydropneumatic axle leveling system. This allows up to 27cm of travel and even distribution of the load on all axles to provide stability in rough terrain.
