Fewer splits in netwrap
Jun 19, 2009 #548
Tama reckons to have solved the problem of netwrap splitting with its new Bale+ product. "Since its introduction, netwrap has changed little in its design, being ‘knitted’ in the same style as any woollen clothing garment," points out Graham Robson, of Tama UAT. "This leaves it open to the same problems as any other piece of knitted fabric as the stitching can be snagged, causing the net to 'ladder' and leading to the netwrap splitting around the bale circumference - the bale then losing crop and, in the case of silage, being difficult to wrap neatly. Tama has revised the manufacturing process of its Bale+ net so that this ‘laddering’ is impossible.”
