Ahead of Agritechnica in November, Väderstad plans to launch two upgrades to its current TopDown line. For 2010, the cultivators will be offered with the additional options of a rubber packer and a low-disturbance tine. The rubber packer measures 600mm in diameter – the same as the standard steel item – and is designed to reduce the rolling resistance on lighter ground as well as being less prone to picking up soil. The low disturbance tines come with a ‘D'-profile piece of steel on their working face to minimise any peeling effect when working at depth (about 25cm). That should mean less ‘rubbish' brought to the surface.
