Biodiesel powers blue Eden train |
Two of the bubble-like biodomes of the Eden Project in Cornwall loom large in the landscape as a biodiesel-fuelled New Holland tractor pulls a passenger land train back to the car park. A newly-delivered fleet of two T6030s, a T5040 and a TC35 has replaced the first New Holland tractors used at the World-famous attraction. Running on 100% biodiesel for transport and maintenance operations, they provided the manufacturer with regular feed-back on fuel system performance and component wear as a test-bed for alternative fuels technology.
