Big Agrotron breaks the 300hp barrier |
Among the Deutz-Fahr tractor launch products at Agritechnica in November will be the 305hp Agrotron X730 model. The new Agrotron tractor flag is powered by a six-cyl Deutz turbocharged engine, complete with four valves per cylinder, common-rail injection and externally cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR). High torque is also claimed as a particular engine strength, the motor's max figure quoted as 1,206Nm at 1,700rpm. Transmission is a 40F/40R powershift (50km/hr). Further down the Agrotron line, the M line gains a couple of four-cyl models, the 143hp M410 and 158hp M420, which are supplied with a choice of four-step powershift gearboxes – 24F/24R or 40F/40R.
