Agritechnica: The Scout is out
Nov 12, 2009 #696
Case IH is looking for feedback on what could be a new venture for the firm – a two-seater utility vehicle. It is manufactured in North America by Club Car, a company that’s owned by Ingersoll Rand and is big in the golf buggy scene.
Power comes from a Kubota three-cylinder diesel engine through a belt-drive CVT, and the vehicle is based on an aluminium frame.
Case IH says that once the Scout is finished at Hanover it will be making its way to the UK for evaluation. If the ute does go on sale in Europe, Case IH will have to decide whether to offer it fully homologated for road use.
