Agritechnica: Slick pit stops for Belgian tanker |
To speed up slurry tanker fill times Joskin is now marketing a 250mm diameter arm. The firm's Christophe Bultot explains that, while a centrifugal pump is offered to keep fill times to a minimum, it is not as versatile as a vacuum pump – hence the arrival of the larger diameter filling arm and news that the 150mm version is no longer listed as an option. Joskin's turbo filling propeller can also be added to speed things along further.
When it comes to application, there is now a 24m splash plate boom with 16 outlets; previous maximum width was 18m. The weight of the additional slurry, as well as the increased physical width, means that this latest design is of a completely different construction.
