Agritechnica: Hatz off for new drill

Farmers could soon have even more choice in the cultivator drill market, as the pictured 6m Mustang outfit from Hatzenbichler is set to land on UK shores once it has finished at Agritechnica. The Austrian company showed a version at the SIMA show earlier in the year, but it has since added a number of features for the UK market such as electric seed metering and an increased working width of up to 8m.
The Mustang incorporates a number of proven Hatzenbichler components. These include the disc cultivation system that has been in use for five years, as well as double-disc coulters that have been supplied to Eastern Europe for even longer. The hopper has a capacity of 3,200 litres, while a 3m rigid model at the show demonstrates the capability to fit a separate 1,200-litre fertiliser tank.
Opico is the UK importer for Hatzenbichler, which also produces the Terminator drill with a number of coulter options, including one for direct drilling, to sell in Eastern Europe.
And just to prove that the company caters for all drilling tastes, Hatzenbichler publishes a crop establishment calendar with a difference. Intrigued? Click on www.hatzenbichler.com.
