Agritechnica: Harrowing tines for straw

Need a high-output straw harrow? Then Canadian firm Degelmann may have the answer in the guise of its 12m trailed unit.
For certain markets the company lists rakes as wide as 25m, but sadly these machines are unable to fold down to 3m so are deemed unsuitable for sale in Europe.
In terms of build, the pitch of the four tine rows (16mm diameter tines) is set mechanically; hydraulic adjustment is an option. For transport the tine frame folds along the drawbar on the pictured €27,000 harrow, which, here at Hanover, is being shown with an air seeder from fellow Canadian firm Valmar. This seeder option adds a further €10,000.
The Valmar 2455 unit has 24 outlets and can be mounted on machines up to 18.5m wide. Other Valmar seeder versions are available, as are mounting kits for installing the seeders on AerWay aerators, which are now sold in the UK (profi 02/09).
Valmar's metering system is ground driven, although there's an option to take both hydraulic drive and an in-cab control box for on-the-move rate adjustment. Hopper capacity is 1.1m³, and the fan is hydraulically powered.
