Agritechnica: A case of frugality |
Case IH can now supply a 40km/hr economy version of its mechanically governed Maxxum 110, 115, 125 and 140 tractors. The more frugal transmission is based around the 50km/hr box's gearing but, once the tractor knows it has achieved its targeted 40km/hr top speed, it uses an electronic device to restrict the throttle so the engine revs at just 1,760rpm.
