Worcs-based Weaving Machinery has debuted a grassland subsoiler specifically designed to rectify the damage caused by heavy silage trailers, muckspreaders and slurry tankers.
Claimed to loosen the root zone while leaving the field surface relatively undisturbed, the Grassland Sublift has an adjustable tine angle that’s said to give the optimum balance between soil lift and power requirement.

The UK pick-up market in 2010 is expected to at least maintain its 18,000-unit sales level of 2009 and may even creep up to the 20,000 mark.
Of course, that’s a long way off the annual 45,000 pick-ups sold at the sector’s peak back in 2006/07, yet it will still come as welcome relief to the main manufacturers, who have seen a dramatic slide in their commercial vehicle business over the past four years.

Machinery giant Deere & Co is suing Kansas-based drill maker Great Plains Manufacturing for a patent infringement, according to US farm machinery magazine Farm Equipment.
Great Plains is accused of infringing Deere's patent 7,472,660, which is for a seed tube for an agricultural seeding machine.
